Because buying books for book lovers is extremely difficult.

I know it can be near impossible to find the right gift for a person who reads a lot because they usually already have everything, or can’t be trusted not to go to the bookstore on whim and buy every book on a whim. I know this person, because I am this person.
That’s why I think Unstacked makes a really nice holiday gift for the reader who has everything (read: every book) because there is no telling what bookish nonsense I’ll cook up each week. It also makes a great gift for people in your life who like books, but don’t have the time or interest in actually reading everything that comes out each year. They can use Unstacked and me as buffer between the buzz and the substance.

In the past, I have made gift guides for the book lovers in your life that aren’t books, and this year I was planning to do the same thing, but after the election, I just felt like I couldn’t.
