I read Soldiers and Kings earlier this year and it was awesome. One Day Everyone has been on my list and I was so impressed by El Akkad on The Stacks. The book that I knew nothing of and grabs my attention is When It All Burns; a combination of history and stories from the Los Padres Hotshots. I’m definitely looking into that.
I'm still waiting on my library hold of THINGS IN NATURE MERELY GROW. I have added to my TBR RUN THE SONG, BLACK MOSES, and WARDS OF THE STATE. I'm probably the most surprised that BLACK IN BLUES didn't make the list.
I hadn't heard of The Salt Stones and that's very much MY wheelhouse, so I'm happy to have it brought to my attention
