The Stacks Book Club selection for January is The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. This debut novel follows a team of agents working to keep history on track by stopping those who try to disrupt it. Moving through different eras and events, the story examines the ripple effects of time travel and the ethical dilemmas of rewriting history. As we begin a new year and look ahead to what’s next, The Ministry of Time invites us to reflect on how our choices shape the future, making it the perfect choice to kick off 2025.

Ironically I started to read this book. It is really good.
I’m rereading Orwell’s 1984 right now, and I’m super excited to pick this up afterwards. Because the title sounds like an allusion to the ministries in 1984!
