It’s Toni Morrison month in The Stacks this July, and we’re reading her final novel, God Help the Child. Originally published in 2015, the book explores the complex dynamic of mother and daughter relationships, beauty standards, and the ways that childhood suffering can shape adulthood. This is the 8th book by Ms. Morrison that we are reading together with the podcast, and each time we read one of her novels we work through so many questions and complexities found in the text. I hope you’ll read this one with us and join in the discussion.
