I still haven’t read that Tyson bio “Undisputed Truth,” it’s been on my shelf for so long the pages have yellowed and more than one person has come into my home seen it on my shelf and raised a brow lol.
This is a great list with a few that I already had on my radar! I’m intrigued by The Great Mann because I just read a retelling of Gatsby—The Chosen and the Beautiful—that put a queer/magical spin on the classic.
A book I’m excited about in June is What Is Queer Food?: How We Served a Revolution by John Birdsall.
What If We Get It Right? has become one of my "books I will not shut up about" so looking forward to Human Nature! I'm in a book club where we're working our way through Toni Morrison's catalog so excited for Toni at Random as well. Is On Morrison by Nawali Serpell on your radar? It has a Jan. release.
I'm looking forward to reading Toni at Random House, as well as one of the last books, Fish Tales, by Nettie Jones, which Morrison edited and was re-published in April. Another book is scheduled for release in January 2026, a literary criticism of Morrison's work written by Namwali Serpell. Maybe a biography of Toni Morrison will be written soon.
You made me intrigued about I’ll tell you when I’m home !! I missed her episode on the show completely somehow but I had The Arsonist’s city on my TBR for a long time. Time for a catch up on both while waiting for your review of the memoir !
This looks like a great list! I’m finishing the classic Into Thin Air just in time to read Baddest Man. Thanks!
Awesome. Love ITA it’s a book of my life!
My third Krakauer this year 👍🏼

I have never read a bio of him but that changes this month!!! Also I would not side eye you.
I preordered Toni at Random but I am now curious about Bad Company👀
I’m reading T@R now and curious to see how it evolves. BC is up soon.

That sounds very interesting and it wasn’t on my radar. Thanks.

Yes it very much is! Already in the spreadsheet.
Great list! I didn't know about Human Nature and added it to my TBR. There are so many good books coming out this month (almost too many)!
Way too many. Not sure how to keep up, honestly.
Excited for Toni at Random and The Girls Who Grew Big! Need to check out some more from this list. Thanks!
Enjoy! Hope you find things you like.
I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist the James Frey as well. I hear his latest is super spicy and honestly that sounds great for pool reading.
Yes it sounds juicy as hell. I can’t wait.

Yes excited about the Serpell.
Love your Substack and the fact that you said you’re here for all the summer snacks haha. You had me at snacks.
Snacks are my A1, books are just a cover to talk about snacks 🤪
Haha! I hope I can get my memoir published so you can add it to your snacking list.

Yes! She did two episodes actually. One for her book, and one for poetry book club! So plenty to enjoy before the memoir.
I’m really excited for Ill tell you when I’m home. But what a fantastic list!
