June Reads Ranked

The nine books I read in June from least to most favorite including more Hunger Games, a romance novel, and Nazi nonfiction.
6

Today, on this July 4th, we honor me, an American Hero. I read nine books in June while also taking my five-year-old twins for cross country trip without Mr. Stacks. No I didn’t defeat the British1, but what I did might just be better for the greater good, if we’re being honest. And to be fair, the bar for American Hero is on the floor these days, but I will take any win I can get. Run me my national holiday2.

So what did I read in June? A book I was very excited about at the top of the year that really let me down. I dove back into The Hunger Games universe. A fucked up (in a good way) little novella. Listen to the 15-min mini-pod to find out how I ranked all that I read, including the book that took the top spot this month.

In case you missed it, I also shared the July books I’m most excited about.

And earlier in June I had

and on to share our most anticipated books of the second half of the year.

So many books. So little time. I feel this deeply in my soul these days.

Here is my monthly reads ranked from least to most favorite with accompanying pop culture pairings. I give it to you in audio form — a mini-podcast. Everything I mention is linked in the show notes/body of this post.
